Testimonials

Keith was a fantastic choice for our wedding and performed in exactly the style that we were looking for.  He is really professional and has a great selection of songs for all age groups.  He was particularly good at putting everyone at ease ahead of the speeches as we decided to use Keith to sing between courses at our Wedding Breakfast.  Everyone commented on what a great choice we had made.     Natalie & Rob – Huddersfield

Keith provides a fantastic range of diverse songs that are all well known and leaves his audience upbeat and happy.  He has a brilliant vocal range and engages with and involves the audience who always feel part of the entertainment through singing and dancing with them.  Excellent value for money in this type of environment Keith makes a real difference to his audience in a fun packed uplifting hour of entertainment.  I would highly recommend him.         Annice……Kipling Court  (Nov 16)

Fabulous choice of songs tailored to his audience.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon which took them on a fantastic journey of memories from the 1950’s to present day popular songs. His military background is a real crowd pleaser who relates  to many of his audience.    Jill…….Castleford  (Dec 16)

Keith always works hard to ensure his audience are fully engaged in a fine selection of upbeat popular and well known song selection ensuring his audience is uplifted and involved.  His delivery, style and smart presentation is well respected by all and it is clear his music really does make a difference to the groups either with Lost Chord or independently.  He genuinely cares and gives people an opportunity to “escape” for an afternoon in lovely thoughts, song and memories and returns time and again to raise spirits.    Rachael – Altzheimer’s Cafe Doncaster/Rotherham.

Originally from Doncaster, South Yorkshire I joined the British Army straight from school at age 15 without any formal education qualifications.  My long and successful Army career spanned over 44 years having officially retired in November 2015.  Throughout my Army Career I rose through the ranks with ten promotions from Private Soldier to Major.

I have been performing as a singer for the past few years mainly throughout South, West & East Yorkshire but I have recently (Jan 17) relocated to Lincolnshire (Grantham/Stamford area) so will hopefully look forward to performing at some new venues with new audiences.

Available for all occasions including weddings, corporate and charity/welfare events

I have always had an interest in music and was fortunate to be invited to perform as an ‘unknown’ military singer at a cancer awareness charity (Firefly) event in Doncaster in 2011.  This was genuinely my first ever public performance, over 2 nights singing two songs to over 3000 people (how scary was that!).  To my surprise it went very well.  So much so that I was encouraged by several well seasoned performers to do more……. CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO WATCH A SNIPPET OF MY FIRST EVER LIVE PERFORMANCE TOGETHER WITH A GROUP OF BRAVE RECOVERING CANCER PATIENTS SUPPORTING ON BOTH SONGS FROM THE “firefly” CHARITY….DONCASTER DOME NOVEMBER 2011.   Such was the impact went on to record some sample sessions with a professional musician before taking the plunge to perform in my own right as a solo artist and The Singing Major website was launched.

I have been busy since that opening night with an increasing stream of performances to a wide range of audiences, venues and occasions, including weddings, performing at Sheffield City Hall (get me!) and for local Mayor’s and other dignitaries.  Who knew?

Singing Major

My sophisticated style of singing includes classic covers from Sinatra, Michael Buble, Bobby Darin, Neil Diamond, Van Morrison and many others plus even Adele to name but a few.  Not just the classic  ‘swing/crooner’ style I include a very wide range of styles and upbeat dance songs that will have any crowd on their feet!  With over 200+ songs in my ever increasing catalogue this together with the depth, clarity and quality of my diverse vocal range create a stunning live performance that can be tailored to suit all occasions for all venues.  Add to this the visual elegant air of authority and distinguished look of performing in military uniform, on request, you have a unique blend and combination that is sure to be a real crowd pleaser.  If you are looking for something different visually and vocally – the USP is right there!

CHARITY WORK

I work regularly with several charities but in particular the Dementia and Altzheimers charities (The Lost Chord & Memory Cafe’s).  I take great pleasure from seeing the impact music and song can make to help stimulate people suffering from this debilitating illness (see recent feedback under the Package (charity) drop down list).   I am available for other charity work on request at specially reduced rates….just ask for details.
